Leg Up Scholarships
SEE’s Leg Up Scholarships offer a variety of opportunities for riders from diverse backgrounds to train with top professionals and advance their equestrian goals. Scholarships typically cover the cost of instruction for a 2-5 day period or event entry fees. Scholarships do not typically cover the cost of the recipient’s travel. Some scholarships include room and board or use of a lesson horse.

Flight Line Dressage Shows began in 2020 when Owner and Show Manager, Andrea Davenport Himel saw a need in the dressage community for a more inclusive, well-run show atmosphere. Flight Line Dressage Shows serve the community by offering USDF and USEF recognized dressage shows as well as WDAA and USEF recognized Western Dressage shows nationwide. Strides for Equality Equestrians is thrilled to offer this opportunity with a group that has actively created a welcoming space for all to participate in their love of horses and the sport of dressage.
Requirements
Riders must have access to their own horse. Please note, due to a change in USEF/USDF rules, the horse will have to be microchipped to compete. It is the Scholarship recipient’s responsibility to ensure this requirement is met.
This Leg Up Scholarship covers entry fee only. Other show expenses, travel, and membership fees are the responsibility of the scholarship recipient.
Flight Line shows are USEF/USDF Recognized featuring classes from Introductory to Grand Prix. Opportunity Classes and USEA Eventing tests are available as an option. Please refer to the omnibus for details on all classes available.
Applicants must be willing to share their experience as part of the show in blogs, social & print media.
Applicants must be invested in increasing access to equestrian sports for underrepresented groups.
